The Diversity Collaborative Holds Information Session for Metro State Students

The Diversity Collaborative held an information session with Metropolitan State University students on June 22nd at the school’s Minneapolis Campus. Approximately 35 students attended the event to learn more about the Diversity Collaborative and the opportunities available in the commercial real estate industry.

Four members of the Collaborative, Lynette Dumalag, Stephanie Lee, Beth Molitor and Gabe Philibert introduced students to the organization’s efforts and to the commercial real estate industry. Following an overview of what the Collaborative does, the panel opened the floor to the audience for a question-and-answer session. The diverse group of panelists provided insight into the various occupations within the industry and how to break into it.

During the event the panel stressed the importance of relationship building to the industry. After the event many audience members began that process by engaging the panelists one-on-one. The event was a success and provided students with the first step to building a career in commercial real estate.
